The 2020 vintage was a nail-biting one! Though we were unable to harvest fruit from any of our other vineyards because of the wildfires, the old vines of DuPratt Vineyard, which lies two hours north deep in the remote woods of Mendocino, were unaffected and is our single release for the 2020 vintage.
With such a tiny vintage, we could lavish a lot of love on the DuPratt! The resulting zin is beautifully wild and dark. Herbs de Provence meet an incredibly mouth filling explosion of blueberries and blackberries showcased within a soft, balanced structure. There’s an untamed, powerful side, just like the land it came from. This is a wine to be enjoyed, but also revered as the only wine of this vintage.
