Located near Sebastopol in the Russian River Valley, Umino Vineyard is shaped by cool coastal winds and rolling terrain that create ideal conditions for Pinot Noir. The 11-acre site benefits from a long, even growing season, allowing the fruit to develop nuance, balance, and natural freshness.
Farmed by third-generation grower David Umino, the vineyard is thoughtfully tended with a focus on sustainability and precision. Sandy loam and adobe clay soils, along with a south to southeast exposure, lend depth and quiet structure to the fruit. Planted exclusively to Pinot Noir, the vineyard has produced fruit of remarkable consistency since its first harvest in 2000, with Dijon clones 115, 459, and 777 contributing layered complexity to the final wine.
