2016 Stephens Vineyard Pinot Noir

Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir 

Appellation: Russian River Valley 

Sensory Notes: Stephens Vineyard has yielded an exceptional wine with sophisticated aromas of blackberry, forest floor, cherry and spice. On the palate, fine, juicy tannins add nuance to flavors of plum, cherry and red fruit, with bright acidity adding lift to the dark fruit flavors. 

Winemaking Notes: Fruit from the Stephens Vineyard was hand-picked on August 26th. It then went through a five-day cold soak, followed by a 14-day fermentation. Punched down twice-daily through fermentation. The Pinot Noir was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, 40% being new, with the remainder of the barrels being one to two years old.
