Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir
Appellation: Sonoma Coast
Sensory Notes: Bright fruit aromas jump from the glass offering notes of cherry, sarsaparilla, clove, cedar, sage and earthy redwood forest. The cherry layers continue on the palate, where they mingle with generous flavors of plum, blackberry and brambly fruit, all of which are framed by rich, mouth-filling tannins.
Winemaking Notes: We chose specific blocks and focused on clones 667, 777, 115 and Pommard. We fermented the Pinot Noir fruit for 18 days, using 10% whole clusters. Only free-run juice was used to make this elegant, sophisticated wine. It was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, 35% new. A single racking before bottling creates a balanced, complex, unfiltered wine.
Cellar Recommendation: Enjoy now through 2025.
