Blend: 92% zinfandel, 8% petit verdot
Appellation: Dry Creek Valley
Sensory Notes: Belle Canyon is renowned for it's amazing aromatics that jump out of the glass. The compelling notes of dark mocha, blueberry, and dried lavender are captivating and reveal the depth of this wine. Lively, bright fruit with wonderful fresh Bing cherry flavors lead to complex notes of leather, white pepper, and baking spice. The beautiful structure is extremely lush and leads into a long, vibrant finish.
Vineyard Notes: This wine comes from a vineyard on the eastern edge of Dry Creek Valley. Planted in the early '90s, this parcel experiences intense daytime summer heat, before it's elevation allows it to rapidly cool down at night. A great deal of handwork is performed to achieve the proper ripeness at harvest. Clusters are thinned up to five times before harvest to allow the remaining fruit to fully ripen.
Cellar Recommendations: Enjoy this wine through 2024.
