Varietal: 100% Pinot Noir
Appellation: Russian River Valley
Sensory Notes: This wine begins with a bright, ruby red color and nose of bing cherry, sasparilla, and nutmeg. As the wine evolves, notes of smoked paprika, blackberry, bramble, and bacon come forth. The soft mouthfeel is matched with bright acidity and a long finish, resulting in a truly versatile pinot that can be paired with many different dishes or enjoyed on it's own.
Vineyard Notes: This wine is a blend of our vineyard designates. We chose each barrel for it's unique characteristics and true representation of the Russian River, whose fog-blanketed mornings and long growing season brings both texture and bright fruit to the wine. The Russian River Valley is famous for producing pinot noir fruit of the highest caliber, and this remarkable blend showcases the region's lush, approachable style.
Winemaking Notes: The fruit underwent a cold soak for seven days, then fermented in open-top tanks. Punch downs were performed twice daily by hand. The wine was then aged in French oak, 30% new for 11 months.
Enjoy through 2020.
