2017 Barrel 32 Zinfandel

Wine Enthusiast
This giant wine offers serious meaty, peppery aromas and absolutely mouthfilling blackberry and grilled beef flavors that are wrapped in firm tannins. Mineral and metallic accents compete for attention with wood smoke and black pepper. Best through 2027. 93 points, Cellar Selection

Connoisseurs' Guide To California Wine
Showing not a whit of restraint and fashioned in the very rich, emphatically ripe style that nearly always marks Bella Zinfandels, the latest Barrel 32 bottling, which is drawn from the barrels that the winery considers its best in each year, is an all-out, no-holds- barred expression of oak-enriched, blackberry fruit. It is an extravagant wine that must be reserved for drinking with dishes that are as rich and intensely flavorful as it is, and, despite being extremely showy right now, it has the tannic structure to age for a good many more years. 91 Points

2017 Block 10 Zinfandel

Wine Enthusiast
This bold and ripe-tasting wine feels layered and creamy, and packs plenty of blackberry and raspberry flavors on a full body. It retains a smooth texture that's tightened just enough with a touch of tannin. Best through 2025. 93 points, Editors' Choice

Medium ruby, the 2017 Zinfandel Block 10 is slow to unfurl to scents of cherry pie and multi-berry preserves with touches of cinnamon, citrus peel, earth and spices. The palate is medium to full-bodied and packed with spicy fruit layers, gently chewy and fresh with a long, spicy finish. 93 points

2017 Lily Hill Zinfandel

Connoisseurs' Guide To California Wine"
Here is a rich, very deep Zinfandel that, at five years of age, is coming into its own in grand fashion. It is a big and lavish wine that makes no apologies for being very ripe, but it is so complex and layered and rich in wonderfully sustained fruit that its minor heat goes almost unnoticed. It is all that we look for when the moment calls for a bold, but very serious, thought-provoking Zin and will shine when paired with the likes of meaty, slow- smoked, back ribs of pork." 93 Points

Delicious, mouthfilling flavors of just-crushed blackberries and raspberries give this wine a big presence, while a full body and moderate tannins are firm enough to balance the juicy, boisterous fruit. 93 points

2017 Florence Zinfandel

Wine Enthusiast
Rich, ripe and full bodied, this powerful and concentrated wine overflows with blackberry jam, and peppery spices. It's moderately tannic, providing good texture and mouthfeel to back up the opulent fruit flavors.  92 points

Connoisseurs' Guide To California Wine
Very ripe, but sporting wonderfully pure, berry-like fruit and a full dollop of creamy oak in its layered and deep, fairly polished aromas, Bella's Florence Vineyard bottling tips even further to ripeness once in the mouth and, although viscous and coating, lets heat get the upper hand at the end. It is rich beyond question, but that richness comes at a cost, and, it must necessarily be matched up with the most flavorful main courses or, better yet, with strong cheeses. 90 points

2017 Rock's Edge Zinfandel

From the Rockpile AVA above Lake Sonoma, the 2017 Zinfandel Rocks Edge is rich with scorched mineral earth, tobacco, and Amarena cherry. There is a fruit-forward mid-palate revealing kirsch, cocoa, purple flowers, and fine, dusty tannins. This red is open to drinking now or over the next 6 or more years. 92 points

2017 Maple Vineyard - Annie's Block Zinfandel

Connoisseurs' Guide To California Wine
The family preference for full ripeness comes through loud and clear here, yet this wine's riper traits never get ahead of its very deep and continuous fruit either on the nose or in its wonderfully rich and extremely long-lasting flavors. After a full and slightly supple palatal start, this one is roughed up a bit by evident, acid-lifted tannins and a touch of late-arriving heat, the effects of which will diminish with further age, and we have no doubt whatsoever that its tantalizing fruit will command center stage as it gains in complexity and polish for upwards of seven or eight more years. 92 points
