2019 Two Patch Zinfandel

VINIFICATION NOTES: Fruit for the Two Patch was picked from Landy Vineyard on October 16th. Lily Hill Estate zinfandel was picked on October 10th, Lily Hill petite sirah was picked on October 16th and the petite verdot was picked on October 19th. Fruit was destemmed and fermented in separate tanks for an average of 25 days on the skins. The petite verdot was fermented in an open-top tank with twice daily punchdowns. The wine was barreled-down into a combination of 90% French, 5% Hungarian and 5% American oak barrels for 22 months, with 25% new oak overall.

VINEYARD NOTES: The Two Patch zinfandel is the culmination of two vineyards, each bringing their strengths to this wine: Landy Vineyard, located in the Russian River with its cooler evenings and dark, acid-driven fruit, and Lily Hill which displays the elegance and finesse Dry Creek Valley is known for.

SENSORY NOTES: Barrel aged for an incredible 22 months, this wine showcases bright red fruit and luxardo cherries with a touch of earthy minerality. Red licorice, pepper and a hint of floral notes lead the palate into an incredibly mouthwatering finish with mouthcoating tannins and a long finish.
