In 2003, the ripening conditions were perfect to create this special, late picked zinfandel. We left the grapes on the vine long enough to push the intensity of flavors and aromas and made a purely hedonistic, lush wine. The aromas explode from the glass with notes of dark berries, jasmine and lavender. The flavors of the wine are extremely intense, with the blackberry, blueberry, and chocolate flavors lasting for minutes. This wine is wonderful by itself or accompanied by cheese or chocolate. We expect this wine to last through 2011.
