vinification notes: Fruit from our Dry Creek and Alexander Valley properties was picked and delivered to the winery and crushed at optimal ripeness. Each varietal was fermented and aged separately in a combination of French and American oak barrels, with 20% new oak.

sensory notes: This delectable blend features aromas of candied cherries and sweet preserves. The wine boasts a substantial mid-palate, with flavors of cassis and savory spice. Firm tannins and the excellent structure of the Hillside Cuvée indicate that it will drink well for many years to come.

vineyard notes: The Hillside Cuvée is a blend of varietals from our two estate properties: Big River Ranch and Lily Hill Estate. These vineyards both exhibit the warm climates and rich, varied soil types that lend themselves to growing exceptional quality zinfandel and Rhône varietals.
