The 2003 Big River zinfandel is a wine with an extremely complex nose of dark ripe fruit, blackberries, boysenberries, cracked black pepper, and cherry liqueur with a subtle hint of coffee and chocolate. The flavors of round, juicy blackberries, black cherries, and dark plums are overwhelming in the mouth. This zin exhibits smooth tannins that develop a long and silky finish that lingers for minutes.
