Throughout the winemaking process, we have noticed that within a vintage there are certain lots of wine that stand out. We have also noted that within these lots, certain barrels are particularly outstanding. Beginning in 2008, we decided to take our theory to task and see if we might create a truly special wine from these unique barrels within our favorite lots of wine. After tasting through countless barrels, we brought six to trial. Out of the six, two barrels made the cut and Barrel Thirty Two was created. Yes, it is an extremely long and time-consuming way to make wine. Our reward is in the bottle.
Note: Barrel 32 is not made every year and, due to the selection process, production is severely limited.
