Accolades

At the annual ZAP tasting in San Francisco this year, Alder Yarrow of Vinography and Tim Fish of the Wine Spectator tasted our 2009 Lily Hill and Maple Vineyard zinfandels.  They were thrilled with what they tasted!  Vinography gave the Big River 9.5 out of 10 points, remarking that is was "Juicy and luscious without being overripe... Outstanding."  Tim Fish  awarded the 2009 Maple Vineyards zin 90 points, describing it as "Dense and briary, with aromas of raspberry and sage leading to appealingly rustic flavors of wild berry, underbrush and licorice."

Back in February, our third vintage of the tiny production Barrel 32 zinfandel garnered a 92 point score from both Steve Heimoff of Wine Enthusiast Magazine and the Connoiseurs' Guide to California Wine.  These publications were some of the lucky few, other than our wine club members, who were able to taste this 100 case lot of this amazing wine!
