Bella Country Fair Competitions

September 6th, 2008, 11AM, 2PM and 3PM

For those wine club members with spirited souls, we have three major competitions (with big prizes!) during our annual summer party in which you may indulge your desire to win:

We will take teams through August 24th and then draw contestants from a lottery. Good luck!

11:30AM-12:30PM–Beginning Scarecrow Studio:101

We provide the hay and guidance! Bring your farmer's hats, overalls and corncob pipes or go hog wild with any outlandish scarecrow outfit you desire. You may arrive with your scarecrow already made or make one onsite with decorative items that you bring from home. Prize is for first place with judging by all guests in attendance. Kids and adults are invited to compete. Send us an email to sign up and be sure to include team members' names.

2PM–Daisy's Cow "Milking" Challenge

Get in touch with your "inner farmer" by forming a team of two with the aim of out-milking your fellow wine club members. Teams of adults of kids compete milking "cows" and the fastest at getting the cream will rise to the top and receive the trophy! Send us an email and be sure to include team members' names and whether the team is adults or children.

3PM–Sticky Grape Stomp

Teams of two will go barefoot in a barrel full of grapes and attempt to squeeze out more juice than their neighbors. There will be two heats of five teams and a grand finale to determine the winner of a commemorative trophy. Stomping begins at 3PM sharp-please send an email immediately to reserve your team's place. Be sure to include names of teammates. There will also be a kids stomping heat, so let us know if you are a kid, or just a kid at-heart.
